For the fourth year running, Gardenia supported the mission of Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM) to celebrate Good Neighbour Day on 13 November 2008 by spreading kindness and neighbourliness with our Kindness Loaf (Fruit & Nut Loaf) to the less-privileged 1 & 2 room residents at Jalan Kukoh, York Hill and Pipit Road. A specially designed Gardenia “Kindness” delivery truck was dedicated for the special delivery of these Kindness Loaves.

On 13 November 2008 at about 6.30pm, staff volunteers gathered at the selected locations to kick-start this meaningful outreach to the residents of the selected areas . With the help of SKM Director, Mrs. Jenny Yang, SKM Council Member, Mr. Rodney Tan and respective RC members, we covered five blocks at Jalan Kukoh, York Hill and two blocks at Pipit Road. Together with the Kindness loaves which were given to our corporate neighbours, the total tally came up to almost 1700 loaves of kindness!
