Chocolate Malted Brownies
Ingredients
- 226g unsalted butter, melted
- 240g brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 6 sachets of Gardenia Chocolate Malt Drink
- 120g plain flour
- ½ tsp salt
- Vanilla Ice Cream (optional)
Method
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease or line a square baking pan (8×8 inch) with a bit of butter.
- In a bowl, whisk 226g melted unsalted butter and 240g brown sugar until smooth. Add 4 large eggs and ½ tsp vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- Stir in the 6 sachets of Gardenia Chocolate Malt Drink, 120g plain flour, and ½ tsp salt. Mix just until you get a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
- Let brownies cool in the pan before slicing. Serve on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
