Chocolate Malted French Toast

Ingredients
  • 1 Egg
  • 60ml Milk
  • 4 pcs Gardenia Thick Toast Brioche Loaf
  • ½ tbsp Butter
  • 2 sachets of Gardenia Chocolate Malt Drink 
  • Vanilla Ice Cream (optional)
  • Cookie Crumbs (optional)

Method

Batter Preparation

  1. Crack 2 eggs into a bowl.
  2. Add 60ml milk and 1 sachet of Gardenia Chocolate Malt Drink. 
  3. Whisk until well combined and set aside.

 

Cooking

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat.
  2. Once hot, coat the pan with ½ tbsp butter.
  3. Dip 4 slices of Gardenia Thick Toast Brioche Loaf into the batter, ensuring both sides are soaked.
  4. Place the bread in the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides.

 

Plating

  1. Stack the toasts on a plate and drizzle with maple syrup.
  2. Optional: Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a sprinkle of cookie crumbs for added indulgence.
