Salad on Toasted Wheat Bread

Ingredients
  1. 4 slices Gardenia Fine Grain Wholemeal Bread
  2. 1 Tbsp Cooking Oil
  3. 1 cup Luncheon Meat, cut into strips
  4. 1/2 cup white onion, cut into wedges
  5. 1 cup Romaine Lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
  6. 2 Tbsp Cherry Tomatoes, sliced into wedges
  7. 1 tsp Black olives, sliced
  8. 1/4 cup cheese, grated
  9. Thousand Island Dressing to serve

Method

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add luncheon meat and onion. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Toss together lettuce, tomatoes, olives and grated cheese in a bowl.
  4. Toast the wheat bread in an oven toaster until desired crispness.
  5. To assemble, place cooked luncheon meat on top of wheat Bread. Top with the tossed salad.
  6. Drizzle with thousand Island dressing and serve while fresh.
